A tutorial on how we can use ZFS snapshots for backing up postgres. Their open storage NAS solution is being used in the example but it does seem that the advice can be used on any opensolaris server.

Blunck Software – iehttpheaders
A fucking brilliant tool that displays IE headers within the browser without the need of using some debugging proxy software. Like LiveHTTPHeaders for firefox.

Mozilla launches LizardFeeder
“The LizardFeeder is a feed aggregator, whose source code is built atop Sam Ruby’s Planet Venus. ” It doesn’t seem to use venus to actually render the aggregated feeds but rather has a really cool Ajax front end. It allows you to view data from the past and filter down the sources that you aggregate from – all via the javascript UI. Nicely designed as well. Source code is available at https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/lizardfeeder/trunk/. Definitely something to look at to improve malaysianheartbeat.com.
